Conceptual Six illustration series & Redisining landing page for Youi in Australian Insurance Company. The vision of redesigning landing page is to make them more functional and clearer in UI perspective. Illustration series is to help users understanding about products of Youi and to promote CTAs.
Define Problems on Website
Youi is an Australian insurance company and providing services for B2B and B2C. To define problems in UI, Neilsen’s ten heuristics is used.
There is a big temptation for Youi to show all its strong sides at maximum. However, it may lead to the website with a huge amount of data which might get the visitor confused, annoyed or frightened. It is especially hard in the cases when a visual hierarchy isn’t thought-out and tested properly: the pages risk transforming into a mess which cannot be scanned quickly.
Apply design techniques and layout which will strengthen the visual performance of the core information to prioritise content.
Illustrations and minimalised visual element like simpler composition are to help users understand the contents of Youi Insurance and easily and quickly achieve their tasks (goals).
Six Detailed Sketches + Two
My work process starts with a hand-drawn sketch. The first stage of the task required creating the set of sketches of six different situations and six different insurances the consultant can provide for customers. At this stage, I created six quite detailed sketches and then added two more. There weren’t too many alterations for them: just little changes were made in insurance situations to give these more modern looks.
Digitalising Illustrations In detail
The next stage involved digitizing sketches and develop these in detail. These below illustrations describe insurances of Youi: Car insurance, Home, Motorcycle, Watercraft/for individual, Caravan and Travel for individual, and Business Liability in sequence.
Combining Scenes & Landing Page
I defined the task for myself to combine all those separate scenes harmonically for a landing page and this way to transfer the message about the core idea behind Youi insurance company — We listen. At Youi, we see you as an individual. We dig deeper, ask the right questions and really get to know what’s important to you.
The aspect of the effective composition is to reduce the possibility which might be able to disturb Call To Action. When I transfer the expended and complex illustration into one integral composition in a landing page, I Prioritise the composition of headline and action button first.
